TIMEBOMB

Dublin Fringe Festival 2012

'In our bodies we hold the stories that create us. From these stories, we make our art. What’s the story that makes us who we are? Be prepared to be transported on a journey and seduced by our tales – powerful recollections evoked by a sound, a movement, a song, a smell or a colour'. TIMEBOMB is an original work devised by Emilie Champenois, Natalie Harrower, Aidan Kelly, Liz Nilsson, Yvonne O'Reilly and Kay Scorah. .

Set Design Liz Nilsson, with original music by Sean Keating.

'Memories aren’t all that interesting in themselves. What makes them interesting is how they relate to the present day, how they imprint themselves on minds and bodies, and, ultimately, how they define who we are.

.

Time Bomb is a multilayered journey – metaphorically and in reality – into reminiscences but, although the performance revealed many eloquent personal stories, only a few made a lasting impact'.

.

.

'Some were archetypal – sunny days and the smell of freshly cut grass – but others were deeply personal, like Yvonne O’Reilly’s stark and lucid reminiscences and Emilie Champenois’ danced and spoken meditation on memory.

.

At these moments, an absorbing connection was drawn between past and present'.
