Here are some of the ideas I had in mind whilst making the work.
I was thinking about the representations, of women in art history, I wanted to suggest a link with that tradition (an alternative one). The solitary women in a landscape or interior where the setting is telling you about the persons identity and circumstances. I am interested in depicting internal states. This series is about primitive brain and survival mode.
Like the others photographs in this series this picture evokes narrative like a film still, a single moment Something has happened here or has already happen.ed
